Adolescent Outdoor Programs at New Vision Wilderness.

The Adolescent Outdoor Programs are intensive Wilderness Therapy programs that utilizes a
combination of team-building, outdoor living, and psychotherapy coupled with extended outdoor
living, backpacking, and canoeing. NVW follows a
Trauma Informed Care model.

These interventions are a great opportunity to combine the challenge of our group-oriented outdoor
adventures with the benefits of group and one-to-one therapy.  Goal development and self-awareness
are covered in the context of therapy.  These programs offer an opportunity for intervention and
assessment of struggling teens, as well as a positive opportunity for personal growth.

The Adolescent Outdoor Program includes two program options.

QUEST:  Open enrollment program includes stays averaging 6-7 weeks
MILESTONE: Intensive 21-day Wilderness Therapy Expeditions.

Both programs include therapist contact a minimum of 4-days a week. These 2 program models offer
client treatment intervention on an as needed basis.  QUEST is for youth in need of more
individualized or longer-term treatment options. QUEST allows for more immediate placement, and
includes family programming and therapy. Learn about the clinical services of the two programs

is to deeply impact the lives of our clients by therapeutic means. Inherent in the nature of our program
is educational growth; therefore we want to provide the opportunity for clients to receive credits in
the academics setting.

We support an alternative education that is based in experiential education and covers a core
curriculum. The core curriculum offers credits in areas of:
