Family Programs at New Vision Wilderness.
Here at New Vision Wilderness, we believe that it is crucial to involve the entire family in the healing
process. Our family programs utilize the outdoors and family sessions to focus on increasing the
communication amongst family members, while building strong family ties.
Families participate in wilderness programming as well as pre and post trip sessions. Using the
wilderness in this process allows the family to work on an even level, while building comfort zones
and increasing vulnerability together.
The Family Program at New Vision Wilderness is focused on increasing family cohesion through
exploring emotions and resolving elements of the past.
While on the program, families will be examining their communication skills and styles, individual
systems interactions, family roles, and daily structures within the family. This is accomplished
through intensive family-based materials and interventions with a family therapist.
Family Trips Include: Increasing family communication skills. Identifying problematic family patterns. Examining family roles; healthy and problematic.
